Optical Conductivity

Important: Some of the programs below (if not all of them) may not execute and complain about a HHCTRL.OCX file. The problem is related to one of the windows updates described here. The solution is posted here (make sure to chose the correct language).

EMA Mixer

This is a windows program to mix two dielectric functions using effective medium theory. The program supports several kinds of dielectric susceptibilities, Bruggeman and Garnett theories and depolorazation. This program is provided as is. Use it at your own risk. Download a zipped file (427 KB).

LakeShore 330 controller "recording chart"

This is a windows program to record the temperature measured by two different sensors in a LakeShore 330 controller. The communication is made through the GPIB interface. It may be adapted to work with other controllers (with some gymnastics I could get it running with a LakeShore 331). This program is provided as is. Use it at your own risk. Download a zipped file (369 KB).

Kramers-Kronig

This is a windows program to perform Kramers-Kronig transfomations, mostly on optical data. The program accepts data in two columns (no headers) and jcamp formats. The abscissa must be in increasing order (i.e. no wavenumbers in "chemical" configuration). This program lacks a lot of error checking routines, so a file with a bad format is certain to produce an error (if you get an error, check for negative reflectivities, empty lines at the end of the file, a comma instead of a period as decimal separators, non numeric characters, etc). This program is provided as is. Use it at your own risk. Download a zipped file (410 KB).
