Novel Electronic Phenomena at Perovskite Oxide Interfaces

R.C Budhani
National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, India

The carefully prepared interfaces of perovskite oxides show exotic electronic phenomena due to the breaking of various symmetries. These include two dimensional magnetism, superconductivity, ferroelectricity, high mobility electron gas and concomitant quantum transport. This talk will summarize some of our recent work on LaAlO3/SrTiO3, LaTiO3/SrTiO3, Co2FeSi/SrTiO3 and underdoped/over doped cuprate interfaces, which show a variety of fascinating effects whose strength can be modulated by electrostatic and electromagnetic perturbations, and by delta doping.
