Study on the electrodynamics in iron-based superconductors by far-infrared spectroscopy

Far-infrared spectroscopy has been playing an important role in the study of electrodynamics in strongly correlated electron system in general and superconductors in particular. In this talk, I will present our recent results on the study of charge and phonon dynamics in iron based superconductors by far-infrared spectroscopy. I will focus on the collapsed tetragonal phase of Ca0.86Pr0.14Fe2As2 and the anomalous phonon behavior in CaKFe4As4. Based on those results, I will discuss the possible role played by electron-phonon and spin fluctuation in the occurrence of superconductivity in iron-based superconductors.
